Andrew has been my health coach since 2018. I connected with him when he worked at Natural Grocers in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Back then he intrigued me, claiming he could aid me in my goal to end my dependence upon two prescription drugs — a PPI and a hydrogen blocker — that I had been continuously taking, for over 30 years, to help with acid reflux (GERD). His strategy for achieving this lofty goal involved a combination of smarter, cleaner foods, devoid of processing, and natural supplements. Listening to him talk, I came to learn he possesses a lot of knowledge regarding healthy eating and supplements, largely self taught due to keen interest, and actually practiced what he preaches. I found him to be credible upon consideration of these and other factors. After consultation with my GI specialist, I decided to give the guy a chance.
At Andrew’s recommendation, I started to keep a journal of my meals. Later on, he suggested I also notate when I experience digestive or abdominal issues so he could identify the culprit(s) and help me make necessary modifications. The hydrogen blocker, famotidine, went by the wayside fairly quickly. The other drug, Aciphex, involved tapering and took almost a year. Eventually, my reliance upon this second drug was gone, as was any skepticism I may have harbored. And remarkably, I continue to enjoy a little breakfast with my Tabasco without any repercussions.
Through our ongoing sessions together, Andrew has inspired me to make wonderfully healthy, delicious meals and, perhaps more importantly, to take a moment, before eating, to appreciate the presentation on my plate. Every now and then I send him a picture of a new meal I put together. One thing is for sure, when it comes to slicing and arranging an avocado on a plate and making it look as good as Andrew’s, I may have to stick to practicing law.
I have, pretty much, gone all organic, grass fed, pasture raised in my food choices today. These changes are readily visible, as corroborated by my journals. I look forward to my sessions with Andrew because, invariably, I learn something new.
I actually care about the foods I am eating. And I feel better as a result. This is wellness; and so the financial expenditures associated with the sessions, foods and supplements are worth it for me. I shall always be indebted to Andrew for changing my life. I wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone interested in a cleaner, healthier lifestyle.
